COLORS – 7e.p. 20th anniversary compilation (12/31 update)

2002年4月15日、7e.p.初めてのタイトル、764-Hero『Nobody Knows This Is Everywhere』をリリースしました。そして時は流れ流れて2022年、この度レーベル20周年を迎えることができました。

15周年の際にも書きましたが、この奇妙なスモールビジネスを今日に至るまで中断することもなく継続してこれたことには、ただただ驚くばかりです。

音源リリースとライヴブッキングの二本柱でやってきたレーベルだけに、コロナ禍でのこの２年間もどかしさも抱えつつも、それでも今日までどうにかこうにかやってこれたのは、アーティスト、レーベル、小売店、ディストリビューター、ライヴ会場、プロモーターなど沢山の方々とリスナーの皆様の協力あってのことです。

華々しいこととは無縁のレーベルですが、設立時の「半年経った時点でリリースしたことを悔やむことなく自信を持って良いと思える作品を提供する」という目標については、20年経った今も継続出来ているかなと。

そして、ささやかながらレーベル20周年を記念したいくつかのプロジェクトも企画しました。
まずは、初リリースから満20年の4月15日、レーベル所縁の面々勢揃いのコンピレーション・アルバム『COLORS』からスタートします。

7e.p.でコンピレーションを企画するのは、東日本大震災ベネフィット『Resume』以来11年ぶりとなります。

これまでリリースやツアーなどを通じて7e.p.と所縁の人々が集結するこのコンピレーション、現在までに30を超えるアーティストの参加が決定しています。そのほとんどが、このアルバムの為の新録や、ここでしか入手できないもの、あるいはレア・トラックになる予定です。

アルバムの販売期間は、Bandcampにて2022年12月31日から翌2023年12月31日の一年間限定。
2022年4月15日よりアルバムの予約受付を開始、当日より年末のアルバム発売日まで一年を通じ（ほぼ）毎週金曜日に一曲ずつアップしてく予定です。アルバムの予約購入者には、購入時に登録したメール・アドレスにダウンロード可能の新曲がアップされるごとに告知が届きます。現在のアルバム予約購入での早割価格は2000円→アルバム予約購入価格は2500円 (12/2 update)

まず一曲目として、フィル・エルヴラム（The Microphones、Mount Eerie）と並ぶレーベル最古参アーティストであり、キャルヴィン・ジョンソン＆マイクロフォンズと共に2003年2月の7e.p.最初の招聘ツアーにも参加したカイル・フィールドのユニット＝リトル・ウィングスの録り下ろし曲をアップしました。

これまで「7e.p. presents 7solo」シリーズをはじめ多くの7e.p.タイトルやフライヤーのレイアウト＆デザインを担当してくれた中島基文氏デザインによるアルバム・ジャケットは、一年を通して文字の形や色など変化したパターンをアップしていく予定です。アルバム購入者は、アルバム発売時にその全てのバリエーションをボーナス・アイテムとして入手可能となります。

On April 15th, 2002 we released our very first title. Since then, Many releases & shows followed after.
And now we’d like to celebrate our 20th anniversary with this special compilation album called COLORS.

We’re so excited to have so many artists on board, current 7e.p. rosters, alumni, tour friends… More than 30 artists confirmed so far. Most of the songs will be new & exclusive recordings or even rare tracks.

The full album will be on sale between December 31st, 2022 and December 31st, 2023. 1 year limited only.

Pre-order starts April 15th, 2022. Then we’ll keep adding a new song (almost) each Friday until the album release date (Dec 31). 2,500 yen now gets you all the singles for the entire year.

You will be notified via the email address you use when you place your order when a new song is added for download.
